Wild edible plants foraging in the UK countryside

Practical plant knowledge beyond a name on a screen.

Foraging is about getting to know the plants you meet again and again. Not just their names, but how they look, smell and change through the seasons.

Notice. Learn. Taste. Use.

I teach you to slow down, look properly and build familiarity through real experience, so that when you meet a plant again, you have something to recognise rather than starting from a blank screen.

Learn through experience. Remember through familiarity.

How I Work

This is about learning plants, not memorising lists.
I teach you to slow down, pay attention and get to know plants through real experience. We look closely, use our senses, and learn where plants grow, how they change and what makes each one recognisable.

We take our time. We observe more than we harvest. And we give ourselves time to become familiar with the wild plants around us.

Familiarity over memorisation. Field memory over phone memory.

Hola, I’m Alvaro!

I’m here to help you notice the wild plants already growing around you and learn to recognise them for yourself. I’ve spent years learning plants through observation, experience and plenty of mistakes, and I want to make that process more approachable for other people.

For me, foraging isn’t about collecting as much as possible or memorising endless lists. It’s about paying attention, learning over time and becoming familiar with the plants you meet, until they start to feel like old acquaintances.
